I have a trick if you're player is injured, and you already have substituted 3 or 5 times, just replace him by the keeper, when he's a keeper, the injury doens't effect his capibilites , and the original keeper is also good on the field.

I've got one tip as to how to score a 100% goal. I always use this trick and always score a lot of goals. Whether I play with my friend or simply with the computer in amateur or world class. My friends have tried this trick and they too scored many goals, many of them are 'scorcher's. This is how I go about. When you are in possesion, try to bring the ball in the opponent's penalty box. This is usually achieved when your team has the most possesion with the ball. Then, use the player with the most shooting power. But before you shoot the ball into the goalmouth, try to trick the keeper by running with the ball to a selected direction and then shoot the ball to the opposite direction. It is like dribbling to the left and shooting to the right or dribbling towards goal and shooting towards your own goal because the ball will still go towards the opponent goalmouth. Another alternative is to dribble the ball towards goal and just after the D in the penelty area, do a rainbow and while the ball is in the air, do a bicycle kick. This will confirm be a 'scorcher'.

Change your IGM to: IGM 1 should be 4-4-2, IGM 2 should be 5-3-2, IGM 3 should be 4-2-4.
When you have the ball in a game and your not attacking play 4-4-2. Then play the ball to a player of the opposition. As soon as the opposition have the ball press space so your IGM will change to 5-3-2. That will make all your players defend and there will hardly be a player up front. Then try and win the ball back in your own half and press space again. Now your IGM will chage to 4-2-4 and you will see that allot of players will sprint towards the opposition goal. When that happens the other team will get cought in posetion and you are very likely to have 4 strikers against 2 or 3 defenders.
Hope it works...

The most effective way to use the 360-degree spin move is to spin at an angle. One way that I set up this move is that I'll deliberately angle the player in one direction (for example, northeast), and sharply angle him NW, spinning at the same time. I've found that this is a good way to shake off a pesky defender, especially if the ball-handler is slower. This zig-zag approach to spinning works in FIFA 99 as well, as I did it many times to great effect across the 18-yard box before I shot.

If you want to just make a goal on a free kick, and not try to make a direct goal (which is hard), just lob the ball to the player nearest the goal and do a bicycle kick. This works about 90% of the time for me. The other 10% I either miss the ball or the goalie saves it or deflects it into corner.

Also, an indirect free kick is effective sometimes. Just pass to the guy standing right next to you on a free kick and then quickly pass back and shoot it. A lot of times you'll surprise the goalie and it'll go past him into the goal or strike the post. It's cool.

If you hold down spin or the hurdle buttons then there are two new moves. Sidesteps and overhead ball. TRY it... its COOL!

When the opponent's goalkeeper is holding the ball, press the (ALT) button for off-side trap. When the goalkeeper kick it to the forward or midfielders, they will get off-side. But beware of this trick! THEY CAN EASILY BE ONE ON ONE WITH YOUR GOALKEEPER. I usually use this trick and I can get FREE free kick. :)

Hold the left/right arrow button till the end of the outline. Press "S" key 2 or 3 times to powerize the shoot distance then press "A" key and lob the ball to the player inside the area. Then double press "D" key. Result: the goalie can't even see the ball.

Try using CTRL when you send a long pass (E + A) or a normal pass (it doesn't work all the time with normal passes) and the reciever will let the ball pass fooling the defender and then run after the ball.
